Respiratory therapists treat a range of patients, from premature infants whose lungs are not fully developed to elderly people with lung disease. 他们评估，监控， and treat breathing disorders and cardiovascular problems, such as asthma and emphysema. They give patients oxygen, manage ventilators, and administer drugs to the lungs.

The 2-year 呼吸治疗 program leads to an Associate in Applied Sciences degree, 呼吸治疗. Program graduates are eligible to take the 选择题 (TMC) examination administered by the National Board for Respiratory Care to earn 认证为 注册呼吸治疗师 (CRT). Students may then become eligible to take the Clinical Simulation to earn 他们的 Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)证书.
